“I’ve Got Something For You, Mummy!”

Yesterday, I went to collect Little Yum-Yum from after school club (Monday to Thursday) as usual. As he saw me, a big smile appeared on his face. He said “I’ve got something for you, mummy!” He started rummaging through one of his pockets, eventually pulling out a daffodil. “Here you go mummy! Happy birthday!”.

I was so delighted, I promptly tucked the stem into my brooch, and wore it with pride all the way home. Love this little boy so much!

Double Celebrations

Tuesday (6th March) was my birthday, so Little Yum-Yum made me this lovely card in school. He even drew a birthday cake on it.

Inside, he drew many hearts, and in his own way wrote “Love you mum, Happy birthday”.

This Sunday (11th March) is Mother’s Day (UK). A little early, Max presented me with this beautiful picture; a bouquet of (hand) flowers.

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Happy 5th Birthday, Maximus!

Can you believe it, Little Yum-Yum is 5 today! I say it all the time, but I have to say it again… where did the time go?

This year, the theme is Minions. He thinks they’re hilarious, so I’m sure he will appreciate the cake,

and giving out the thirty party bags in this box to his friends at school.

Today is also Christmas Jumper Day, so here we are pretty much wearing matching jumpers to school. The nose on Max’s reindeer lights up, which he loves. (I look a mess as I’m still not well).

It’s also ‘Show and Tell’ (every Friday), which means he gets to bring a toy in and talk about it. He chose a car from his advent calendar.

I’m ready to set up for when he arrives home after school.

I really do hope he enjoys his day. Little Yum-Yum can be a bit of a handful at times, but he truly is an amazing little boy. He is my heart, my soul, my whole being.

Happy birthday, Little Yum-Yum. Words cannot express how much mummy loves you.

Happy 4th Birthday, Maximus! ~ Part Two

After collecting Max from preschool, the theme changed from Thomas & Friends to PAW Patrol. (He had asked for both before hand). Wearing his new PAW Patrol clothes, he played with his Power Rangers figures before we headed out for lunch.

We went to Nando’s, as Max had never been there before and it’s a kid friendly restaurant.

He decided he did not want to stay, but in fact, wanted to go back home. Maybe because it was incredibly busy. However, when a couple of ladies started to tell him how cute he is, he changed his mind and decided to stay.

Tucking into his free birthday treat – unlimited frozen strawberry yogurt.

After lunch, back at home, Max opened yet more presents.

Then it was time for his third birthday cake for the day! He was so happy it was a PAW Patrol one. It came with stickers too!

Max forcing a smile. By this point, he just wanted to play, not to have his photo taken.

Saving the best until last, Max got a brand new scooter – Blaze and the Monster Machines┬áthemed. Yet another thing he is a fan of!

Not sure how I managed to keep up, but in one day, he got something relating to the following: Thomas & Friends, PAW Patrol, Power Rangers, as well as Blaze and the Monster Machines.

One very happy little boy.
