Benji the Bear sat on the end of the bed, feeling a little bit lonely. He was new here, and he hadn’t seen anyone else in the bedroom. He watched the moonbeam slip through the gap in the curtains and slide across the bed. “I wish I had someone to play with” he whispered.
This is a lovely story to share with children about friendship. In the end, Benji no longer feels lonely; in fact he looks forward to the next day which promises more fun with his new found friends. I’m thinking this is perhaps the perfect story to read to a child/children who is/are stating a new school.
