To celebrate Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Day, I bought ready made pancakes. Why? Because I cannot make them! They’re not edible when I do them from scratch. Unfortunately, I was unable to find British ones, so settled for Dutch ones instead. Max wanted chocolate spread. Nutella (palm oil – grrr!) was the only one I could find at the time of purchasing these ingredients from my usual supermarket online.
The pancake packaging had cute little write-ups on it.
How To Do It
Pan Fry: Remove packaging. Place pancake in a non-stick pan and warm on a medium heat for 60 seconds on both sides. Don’t forget to flip and catch!
Instructions from the back of the packaging
Unfortunately, Max wasn’t very interested in preparing these pancakes. Maybe it was because he had already done so at preschool, or maybe it was my error for not at least trying to make them from scratch. Either way, he just ate some of the chocolate spread from the jar, then scuttled off to play.
I was left standing alone in the kitchen…
