Bedtime Stories

Every evening I read a story to Max before bed.

The same book is read for the whole week, and what I find is, for the first couple of reads, he listens contently, asking questions. After this point, he remembers the story and starts to participate by finishing sentences himself.

By the end of the week, he is full of smiles, looking forward to the next exciting story/book. Sometimes, even wanting to read the same book for a second week. The most popular one has been ‘If You’re Happy And You Know It!‘. I am not surprised, as it’s a sing along book where one pats their head, wiggle their hips and so on.

This picture was taken for Max’s homework for preschool. He had to present a picture showing something he and I traditionally do, then talk about it.

I cannot believe he gets homework already! He’s only three years old!
