Collecting Max from pre-school, mummy saw he was eating a wedge of orange, which was clearly finished, leaving just the peel. Happily, he started to gnaw away at it. Upon telling him that he is not meant to eat that part, he just looked up at her, grinned, and carried on eating it!
Luckily, orange peels are nutritious, although it is not recommended to make them a part of your daily diet. š

I was a boy many years ago, Max. We didn’t have many oranges. I always ate the peel because I didn’t know when I’d get another one. (Mummy may explain – I was born in 1942)

Mummy responding: Oh, wow. We take a lot for granted these days, don’t we? I bet you have many great stories you could tell. I would never have guessed you were born then. You look younger! š

Where did you live in England?

I still live in my beloved England, as I live in both the UK and US. London. ⤠I just cannot let go of being English! When in the US, my friend takes me to A Taste of Britain to stock up on English foods, as I get homesick. Sad, aren't I?
